2025/2026 Company Placement Evaluations & Tryouts
We are excited to announce the 509 Company Placement Evaluations for the 2025/2026 season! This year, we will be holding small group routine tryouts on Sunday. More details and registration will be provided soon. This is a wonderful opportunity for dancers to showcase their skills, refine their technique, and prepare for the season ahead.
What to Expect:
Our placement evaluations will assess ballet, jazz, contemporary, and hip-hop techniques to help determine the best fit for each dancer on our Company teams. Our 509 Company is open to ages 5-18. We will place dancers by level and age in mind. All dancers will be placed on a team. The small group tryouts will allow us to see how dancers work together and allow dancers and families more clarity on the dances they would like to participate in. These evaluations are open to both new and returning Company dancers, and they play a crucial role in shaping our teams for the upcoming season.
General Schedule (specific schedule TBD)
Saturday, May 31st: Team Placement Evaluations (dancers 10 yo and younger in the AM for no longer than 2 hours)
Sunday, June 1st: Small Group Routine Try-Outs

Important Dates for Company Members:
509 Summer Kids Dance Camp July 23-26, 2025
What to know: All Company members under ten must attend our kids’ camp. This will help build on foundational technique skills and musicality. If dancers have prior commitments, these must be communicated beforehand to discuss alternatives.
509 Summer Intensive July 28-30, 2025
What to know: All Company members ages ten and up must attend the 509 collective summer intensive. This will be an opportunity to work with out-of-town faculty, strengthen your technique skills, and sharpen your skills in learning choreography. Please note that we may be able to work with some of the choreographers a couple of days before the intensive, so we ask you to keep July 26th & 27th available as well. If dancers have prior commitments, these must be communicated beforehand to discuss alternatives.
Company Team Camp August 4-8, 2025
What to know: All Company members are required to attend our team camp. We will work on team choreography, build team rapport, and develop team goals.
