Turns & Jumps Masterclass

Take your turns and jumps to the next level in this exciting master class led by guest teachers Jenni Nielsen and Meghan Andersen (in-town as Company adjudicators)! Designed for intermediate to advanced dancers ages 7 and up, this workshop will focus on refining your technique, improving strength, and boosting your confidence in essential dance skills. Whether you’re looking to perfect your pirouettes or add height and control to your jumps, this class is a must for those eager to elevate their performance.

Meet Your Instructors:

Jenni Nielsen

With over 25 years of experience, Jenni brings passion, artistry, and leadership to her teaching. She began her journey with classical ballet training and performed with the professional Ballet West company in Salt Lake City. She has performed on some of the world’s most iconic stages, including Carnegie Hall, the Allstate Sugar Bowl, and for President Barack Obama. Jenni’s choreography has been featured by the Disney Channel and the Oregon State Dance Team. She now serves as Head of the Dance Department at a leading competition studio in Utah and is excited to share her expertise with 509 Collective dancers.

Meghan Andersen

A lifelong dancer with experience in ballet, jazz, musical theater, and hip hop, Meghan has a diverse background in dance. She performed with the University of Utah’s Crimson Line Dance Team and danced professionally with Nightline. Meghan’s passion for dance extends into coaching, particularly in Utah drill teams, where she has made a significant impact. In addition to her dance career, Meghan is a clinical social worker with experience in private schools and autism centers. She is eager to bring her wealth of knowledge and energy to the 509 Collective dancers.
